English's Country Corner opened their doors on July 1st, 2002. What was once just a broken and shattered dream, became a reality. I thank God for giving me my hearts desire and for not giving up on my dreams even when I had. I have a stained glass picture on the back door at my home for many years that reads "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11" Everything we have comes from the Lord! So I give him all the credit for the store. It's a lot of work everyday, but I love it! I want to encourage you to put your Faith in God, not people. Don't let others squash your dreams by words of discouragement. God is Faithful, but you must be willing to work hard and put your trust in him.
My husband Tom and I search all over the world to find unique gifts. I enjoy being creative and designing things that you will only find in my shop. I thank all my customers for their support and try my best to always give them great service. We take a lot of pride in being friendly and listening. It's wonderful to hear all the great comments customers make about how much they enjoy the store.
The building we are in was built in 1761 and was the original tannery for Lancaster County. We had to completely remodel the upstairs because of years of neglect. It is now beautiful and we open it to our customers the weekend of our annual open house in October and then every Saturday from then until Christmas. I'm now in the process of allowing small private parties of 25 or less the use of my upstairs from the months of January thru September. For more information on that e-mail me or call.
We are proud to be the home of the "Bee-You-Tea-Full Dreamers" Red Hatter Chapter. A lot of great times and wonderful friendships have come out of that. So in closing I wish everyone HOPE for a brighter future and invite you to come to Lititz and visit English's Country Corner.
